EarlyLife

Micheal Baluk was born in Philidelphia,Pa april 30 1923 and lived on 421 popular street. His Parents are John and Pauline Baluk. He had one brother named stephen who was 19 in 1940.  Pvt Baluk was 16 when the war started in 1939. He was 19 when he enlisted for war. Pvt Baluk never married for he didnt have the chance to find some to marry.

Pvt Baluks father John Baluk worked at the establishment Ocean City Reel. This is a picture of an ad of th establishment. The Philadelphia-based fishing reel company on Market Street in 1944 would have provided access to a large customer base and potentially facilitated partnerships with other fishing-related businesses.

This is a census of the year 1940 and i sniped a picture of just the Baluk family. The Green ones being Pvt Baluks Father John and Brother Stephen. It says here that John is from Russia making Pvt Baluk a 2nd generation immigrant.

This is a picture of 421 popular street today. It looks well held together and maybe redone since the 1940s. The street names could have changed but that is the street Pvt Baluk lived on for his youth and his his father lived there after his death.
